Ghana's defensive duo Isaac Vorsah and John Boye could miss the international friendly against China on August 15, according to newspaper reports.
German outfits Hoffeinheim are unwilling to release Vorsah while French side Rennes is also reluctant in releasing Boye despite the date being Fifa friendly match day.
The two partnered at the 2012 African Cup of Nations and also formed a solid-rock partnership at the heart of defence during the Black Stars 1-0 defeat at Zambia in the second group game of the 2014 World cup qualifier last month.
Their potential absence will give head coach Kwesi Appiah a massive headache as the team need to win to sustain confidence ahead of the Nations Cup qualifier.
Striker Asamoah Gyan could also play in the exhibition game for the first time since he returned from a self-imposed exile.
The Ghana Football Association has lined up the friendly against the Asian giants to fine tune the side ahead of September's 2013 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi in Accra.
The four-time African champions only managed a fourth-place finish at the 2012 African Cup of Nations held in Gabon and Equitorial Guinea and are desperate to end a 30-year-wait for an African crown. Ghanasoccernet.com
