African Origin Form London 2012 Media Team

Authorized ticket reseller for London 2012 Olympic Games in Ghana African Origin Travels and Sports Tourism has formed a media team to take charge of publicity for the quadrennial Games.

The 34-member team has been formed by African Origin Travels after it signed an agreement with the London 2012 Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOGOG) with the latter appointing the travel agency as the authorized ticket reseller.

And as part of the requirement in the agreement, public relations, marketing, media and promotional arrangements for the impending Games has been assigned to African Origin Travels to churn out information about the Games and the host city.

The media team has been categorized into three sectors- Southern, Northern (Ghana) and the UK sector.

The Southern sector includes Gifty Bingley (British High Commission), Odiasempa Kwame Oware (Happy FM), Moses Antwi Benefo (Asempa FM), Acheampong Barimah Boadaa (Hot FM), George Lomotey (GTV) and John Vigah (Ghanaian Times)

Others are Veronica Commey (GNA), Maurice Quansah (Daily Graphic), Prince Annang (Metro TV), Nana Aba Anamoah (TV3), Kofi Asare Brako (Adom FM), Kofi Owusu Aduonum (Daily Guide), Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini (Radio Gold) and Harry Awuah (Great FM).

The Northern sector comprises Seth Appiah-Agyekum, British High Commission, Luther King Kwame Adinkra (Angel FM), Fredrick Acheampong (Kessben FM), Alvin Yaw Adu Boakye (Kessben FM) and Captain Smart (Fox FM).

Others are Samuel Acheapong (Dove FM), Kwabena Gyamfi (Angel FM), Listowell Yesu Bukarson, media consultant, Isaac Owusu Ansah (Ashh FM) and Micky Charles, media consultant.

Rainbow Radio duo of Kwaku Owusu Frimpong and Michael Ocansey,   Frank Evans Anderson (Naspa Radio), Kuuku Spenser (Naspa Radio), Justin Addo, FIFA Match Agent, Mugabe Maase (Focus Radio), Vandyk Appiah-Kubi (Hot FM), Roland Kankam (Hot FM) and Patrick Bosie Apraku, Specia Operations, African Origin, form the UK sector team.

President of African Origin Travels and Sports Tourism Samson Deen noted in an interview that the initiative was among other things to ensure a successful hosting of the Games which starts from July 27 to August 12 in London.
