Koffi N'Dri Romaric, who plays for Spanish side Sevilla, has been recalled to the Ivory Coast's provisional squad for June's World Cup in South Africa. Romaric was left out of the The Elephants' team for January's Africa Cup of Nations by former coach Vahid Halilhodzic due to disciplinary issues.

The 30-man Squad was named by new coach Sven Goran Eriksson on his first visit to the country.

Ivory Coast are in drawn in Group G with Brazil, Portugal and North Korea.

One player who does not make the list though is Didier Ya Konan despite some good performances for his German side Hannover 96.

But some solid outings for Wigan by Steve Gohouri in recent weeks sees him recalled to the squad after he missed out on the Nations Cup in Angola.

Others who made the squad list are the English Premier League's Golden Boot winner Didier Drogba, his Chelsea team-mate Salomon Kalou as well as Aruna Dindane who has helped Portsmouth to reach the FA Cup final.

Eriksson, who replaced Halilhodzic at the end of March, says there are "big expectations" for Ivory Coast at Africa's first World Cup and he believes the team can fulfil it.

Halilhodzic was sacked after a shock defeat by Algeria in the quarter-finals of the Nations Cup.
