LAWYER OWUSU-ANSAH Fan Club has been inaugurated at Atimatim in the Afigya Kwabre West District, to root for the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwabre West and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer in the up coming elections.

The youth club, with a membership of 800, is to help propagate the good policies of the NPP, and the level of development that had come to the people, via the various district assemblies and the MP.

The club is also to embark on vigorous campaigns to ensure that the NPP retained power.

Mr. Emmanuel Asamoah Owusu-Ansah, Ashanti Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Kwabre West, charged members of the club to campaign for a massive victory for the NPP flagbearer.

Mr. Owusu-Ansah disclosed that he had provided 15 schools for the constituency, and that all road networks had been awarded on contract.

He as well announced that scholarships had been offered to students of second cycle schools, and appealed to the electorate to give him another term to represent then in Parliament, to continue with the planned developmental programme for the constituency.

The Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Mr. Osei Assibey Antwi, speaking at the launch, indicated that Ashanti Region was better off under the Kufuor-led administration, than the previous regime.

He said the P(NDC) era saw the collapse of many industries in the Ashanti Region, and boasted that under the seven and half years of the NPP, 42 new hotels had sprung up, as well as the revival of the Neoplan Ghana assembly plant.

Citing the level of development under the NPP, Osei Assibey also announced that there were five companies in Kumasi, currently manufacturing roofing sheets, against the fact that the cocoa industry collapsed under the P(NDC) regime, only to be revived by the NPP government, and called on Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP.
