The Confederation of African Football has appointed Eddy Maillet as the center man for the opening game of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Host Ghana engage Guinea in the tournament's opener on Sunday at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium.
Maillet,who comes from Seychelles, handled the quarter-final match between Nigeria and Tunisia during Egypt 2006.
Sixteen central referees have been selected by Caf for the month-long soccer event.
They will be aided by sixteen other assistants on the lines.
