Samuel Inkoom, the former Ghanaian defender has called on his fellow citizens to throw their weight behind former teammate John Paintsil and current Black Stars head coach Otto Addo, stressing the importance of unified support for the national team's success.
Inkoom's plea comes in reaction to recent criticisms directed at Paintsil following remarks he made about the state of Ghanaian football during an interview on UTV.
Paintsil's comments sparked controversy, leading to doubts and scrutiny regarding his suitability for his new coaching role in the Black Stars.
However, Inkoom believes that now is the time for Ghanaians to unite and rally behind Paintsil and Addo as they endeavour to contribute positively to the national team's performance.
"The success of the Black Stars is a collective endeavour, and it requires the support of every Ghanaian," Inkoom stated.
He further emphasised that backing the coaching duo ultimately translates to the team's overall success and brings pride and joy to the nation.
"We must all throw our support behind them. Our collective support is crucial because when they achieve success, it brings joy to everyone," Inkoom added.
