Co-hosts Australia came through a nailbiter to reach their first Women's World Cup semi-finals, beating France 7-6 on penalties after the match had finished goalless.
They now face European women's football champions England who were the last team into the last four as Sarina Wiegman’s side came from behind to defeat Colombia 2-1.
