Premier League side, Leeds United have announced the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Gyabi Darko.
Darko joined the Elland Road club from Manchester City on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
He helped City’s Under-18s win the Premier League North title in the 2020/21 campaign.
"I am really excited! Obviously, I have seen that they’ve given the young players a lot of opportunities in the first team here," he told LUTV.
“I think it was nine debuts in the Premier League last season, so that’s really good! I know a bit about the club, it’s a great club.
"The fans are what has attracted me the most. I played here last season and the fans were crazy in an Under-23s game! So, I can’t imagine how that’s going to be in a full stadium," he added.
Last season, Gyabi stepped up to Under-23s football by scoring one goal and provided three assists in ten games in Premier League 2 to help Manchester City become champions.
Gyabi, 18, is eligible to feature for Ghana but have capped twelve times at the junior levels for England.
