Ghana Players Abroad: Kwabena Owusu, Majeed Ashimeru among top performers this weekend

Attacker Kwabena Owusu has finished the just ended weekend as the top-rated Ghanaian player abroad.

The young forward was in action for MKE Ankaragucu on Sunday evening when the team defeated Genclerbirligi 3-0 in the Turkish lower division.

On the matchday, the talented attacker scored with a fantastic effort to ensure his team bagged the maximum three points.

Having finished the encounter with a 8.4 rating, Kwabena Owusu has emerged as the top-rated player in this edition of the top 10 highest-rated Ghana Players Abroad put together by Modernghana Sports partners SofaScore.

Belgium-based midfielder Majeed Ashimeru is the second on the list, having earned a high rating of 7.8 for his performance for RSC Anderlecht on Sunday.

The former Red Bull Salzburg man excelled for his club and played a key role to help the side to defeat KAS Eupen 4-1.

Other players making the top five include Samuel Tetteh, Hans Nunoo Sarpei, as well as Alidu Seidu.

It should be indicated that Black Stars captain Andre Ayew was in action for his Al-Sadd SC outfit on Saturday and bagged a brace for the team as they walloped Al-Gharafa 5-1.
