Andre Ayew will not make Swansea City squad tonight when the club takes on Queens Park Rangers in the English Championship.

The Ghana international suffered an injury in the Jack Army game against Wycombe Wanders at the Liberty Stadium last weekend.

The club's top scorer was forced off after just eight minutes of the 2-2 draw against Wycombe after feeling a twinge in his hamstring.

After the game, Steve Cooper, who is the manager of the side revealed that it is unlikely the forward will feature for his side today when they take on QPR.

“With Andre, it’s too early to say,” said head coach Cooper when asked about Ayew,

“He has walked off with a hamstring, I haven’t seen him yet but we expect it will take about 24 to 48 hours to settle down and for us to know the extent of the injury.

“We don’t know yet, but you can’t walk off after eight minutes and play a few days later unless something extraordinary happens.

“I don’t want to speculate really, until it settles down and we get it scanned we won’t know the full extent of the injury.”

Over 48 hours later, reports indicate that Andre Ayew has not recovered from the injury and hence cannot play any part in today’s match.

Andre has been a key player for the side scoring 15 goals in the process.
