Congo defender, Raddy Ovouka has signed a new deal with Hearts of Oak after a fruitful negotiation ahead of the second half of the season.

The 21-year-old signed a one year deal that will keep him at the club until 2024.

His initial contract with Hearts of Oak would have expired in 2023 but has agreed to a new deal proposed by the club a few months ago.

The club's official statement reads, "The management is pleased to bring to the notice of all Phobians that our Congolese international defender Raddy Ovouka has extended his contract at the club till 2024"

"The club is confident that his stay with us will help us achieve our aims and aspirations"

Ovouka has been a kingpin at the backline of Hearts of Oak since his arrival at the club in 2018.

He has featured 17 times for Hearts of Oak with a goal to his credit in the ongoing 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.

Following his explosive performance in the Ghanaian top-flight league, he earned a debut call-up to the senior national team of Congo.

Ovouka marked his debut for Congo in their 0-0 draw with Senegal in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last week.
