The Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Ashanti Gold SC, Eric Karikari has noted that the club is ready for the showdown with Hearts of Oak as he insists that the Miners are not afraid of the Phobians.
On Tuesday, November 24, 2020, the two giants will lock horns at the Accra Sports Stadium for a Matchday 2 encounter of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
With tensions high and both clubs gunning for the win, there is talk of Hearts of Oak holding the advantage because they will be playing as the home team.
Speaking to Bryt FM ahead of the match, Eric Karikari who speaks for Ashanti Gold says the club is not perturbed because they are never scared to face the capital-based club.
“We are not afraid of Hearts of Oak, we believe that it will be a very tough game but we are going for all the three points at stake at their own backyard,” the Ashanti Gold PRO said.
He continued, “We drew in our opening day fixture against Karela United but we have put the result aside and focusing on our next game which is Hearts.”
