Retraction And Apology On The Claim Of Outbreak Of Shingles (Ananse) On University Of Education Winneba, Kumasi Campus

I write as a petitioner on the petition submitted dated 27^th November, 2018 by the title,

‘PETITION IN STUDENTS’ INTEREST SEEKING THE IMMEDIATE FREE TREATMENT OF SHINGLES INFECTED STUDENTS AND GENERAL FUMIGATION OF ALL FACILITIES IN THE SCHOOL’

Available information indicates that there are no cases of SHINGLES recorded at the medical facility of the university but few cases of PAEDERUS/ DERMATITIS LINEARIS (locally called ‘SHUATOSIS’).

I therefore duly apologize and correct the erroneous impression created. The general public should disregard the information. Any inconveniences caused is deeply regretted.
