Bad Railway System

Bad Railway System

It is interesting to know that, under NPP administration where a minister of state in charge of railways has been appointed, the railway system is not working in Ghana. I wonder what some of our leaders think when they take up positions to serve their people.

I personally went on a tour to check on our railway system and I was surprise to see for my self some shocking revelations. I was surprise to hear that the train from Nsawam to Accra which passes through Pokuase to Amasaman has not been working since 2017 and as a result, goods and foodstuff as well as passengers are unable to be transported. It is very sad that even the railway lines have been taken over by weeds, and erosion has also taken part of it. One will ask whether appointing a minister purposely for this sector is good or not, because when it was even under transport ministry the trains where working perfectly. Talking to most people who have been using the train for serval years, they complained that the brake down of the railway system has been causing heavy traffic on the Ofanko - Pokuase road and the cost of transporting foodstuff to the city has become so high, this has compelled our market women to increase prices to the detriment of consumers.

Mr. President, Ghanaians did not Stand under the hot sun to vote for you to treat us this way, the voters really deserve better from your administration. It is about time your government sit up and continue with all the on going projects that was started by the previous government and stop concentrating on new ones.

You promised a better Ghana where better means improvement over previous one. I therefore request that, you ensure that the old infrastructure is well maintained before adding on. The promises are becoming too many. Its unfortunate the vice president is still on a promise spree even in power.

Mr. President , Ghanaians want to see actions not big Grammar from the elephants.

Ghana deserves better!!!
