It is often said that, nobody or group of people is a repository of wisdom, but it seems the white people, especially the British don't see it that way. They think they are more human than other people and continue to take us for granted. Why would they try to tarnish the reputation of our great King?

When these whites were looting our precious minerals such as gold to Britain, they didn't call it "gold laundering". When they were shipping, raping, beating and killing our forebears in the name of slave trade, they didn't call it "human laundering".

But, take more than £10,000 from their country to any African country, they call it "money laundering". They still control a major share of our mineral resources - gold, diamond, manganese, bauxite, not forgetting our oil and call themselves investors.

Make an attempt to visit their country and check the quantum of money you would spend on the process to get a visa. Sometimes, they will intentionally deny you the visa and your processing fees will never be refunded. However, we even beg them to come and invest in Africa and repatriate all their profits. They come here to be in top management of companies, slap and pour pepper on Ghanaian workers, but they make it difficult for a black man to rise to the top in their countries of origin. They are called expatriates and we are called illegal immigrants.

The question is; are these people being fair to us at all?

What any son and daughter of the 'Sikadwa Kofi' should remember is that, the British once made an attempt to take away the Golden Stool, because to them, they deserved to have it. When they failed, they used deadly weapons to kill millions of our people and succeeded in taking away our late King, Prempeh I and our late Queen mother, Nana Yaa Asantewaa. Would they call this inhuman treatment a "human trafficking" or "human laundering" and compensate us accordingly? Your guess is as good as mine!

Back home, the late Kwame Nkrumah and Jerry John Rawlings did all that they could to bring Asanteman down, but they couldn't succeed. The late Prof. JEA Mills complained bitterly about the Great Asante Project; the NDC always tried to pitch Asantes against their King in the name of politics, but that has not yielded any positive results.

At this juncture, would aid and abet the very people whose basic aim is to bring Asanteman down? Don't you think the unity that exists in Asanteman, the prosperity, and the power could be an envy to some people?

Let's therefore not hasten to judge our noble King, whose regalia alone is worth £650m. He is the King of Kings; He is the only King in the world who sits on the 'Golden Stool' created by God. The Stool is sacred and represents the soul, power, strength, and unity of Asantes. Okomfo Anokye warned that, when the Stool is taken away, that will be the end of Asantes.

Say No! Let's always give due respect to the Golden Stool and the Occupant and defend them with our intellect and might forever.
