Standing On The Shoulders Of The Patriarchs

I said yesterday that God prepared for the patriarchs and those who seek Him in spirit and in truth; a city on which their hearts were set. Such city becomes their focus and it affects their living in God. Nowadays, it is also my burden to stand on the shoulders of those before me who have sort to revisit the patriarchial system and some of them to recover this zeal and Godly way of following God.This is the way of Jesus Christ.

In the Old Testament, God is often identified as the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Name which He (God) takes for Himself expresses a relationship of love in which those individuals belong to God and He belongs to them.It expresses that He has made Himself their God. Does the Church you attend make themselves the children of God and God also sees your church as their God?

A journey through the Book of Revelation exposed Jesus Christ as the model and the Church and all that the Church stands for. However, these days instead of the flock belonging to God they rather belong to a few self-made individuals who milk them(their church) as their cow.This situation has rather brought competition and rivalry amongst brethren and the Church.

When Christians live as pilgrims ( I am not suggesting they leave their homes and settle in huts) and strangers in the world, keeping themselves apart as Abraham lived apart from the other people,( a reason God choose Jacob/Israel as His people), God is glad to call them or us His own.When Christians live distinctively like this (He God helps us to express the Godman nature built through transformation by God), the world will know us as indeed been separated for and by God.
