Ghana Pray Group/PTIPTO prays for Ghana

Accra, Aug. 9, GNA - The quarterly intercessory prayer conference by the Ghana Pray Group - Pray Them In, Pray Them On (GPG/PTIPTO), has been held in Accra, with a call on Christians for continual intercession for the country.

Pastor Samuel Boateng, the President of the group said, every prayer group in Ghana was a sword and PTIPTO was another sword in the spiritual realm making battles on behalf of the country just as Aglow International Ghana.

Pastor Boateng said there was the need for followers of Christ to regularly meet and stand in the gap to salvage the nation out of every satanic manipulations and machinations, which sought to destroy the fortunes of the nation.

According to Pastor Boateng, the group is an interdenominational and non-partisan, which seeks the interest of God and the nation but not that of any particular political party or individual.

He said more than 20 ministries were present at the intercessory prayer conference and expressed the hope that more ministries would join the movement.

Leading the group to pray against any siege of corruption, Pastor Samuel Mensah of the Winners Chapel International said politicians were trying to deal with the canker but they could not do it by their strength if Christians did not stand up to pray.

Pastor Mensah noted that there were satanic manipulations in the country and hence the need for intense prayer for the children of God.

Pastor Anita Bentum Williams, the Vice President of the Group and the Leader of Jesus and Rendevouz Ministry led the group to pray for God to heal the nation and asked for God's forgiveness of any sin committed by any entity.

Bishop Samuel Ceazar Woode of the Christ Care International Ministry led the group to pray for the baptism of the spirit of wisdom upon every public servant, adding: 'It takes the Spirit of God for people to administer a nation'.

Leading the group to pray for financial dominion in Africa, Reverend Emil Arthur of Winners Chapel International indicated that a country would be poor if borrowing was more persistent than giving out.

Quoting Proverbs 22:7, he said, 'The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is a slave to the lender'.

Dr John Boateng, the Founder of Emmanuel Eye Care Centre, said it took the people of God to stand in the gap and pray for the nation and hence urged the group to continue in prayer for the nation.

Present at the meeting was Ms Elizabeth Sackey, the Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister who urged the group to continue in prayer for the nation.

Ms Sackey said: 'We have a God who can protect us when we put our trust in Him.'

In an interview with Ghana News Agency, Dr Onsy Kwame Nkrumah, the National Board Chairman of PTIPTO said, members were ready to submit any suggestion God placed on their heart to the leadership of the country.

PTIPTO is a ministry that seeks to break the unfortunate trend where Ghanaian fervently pray for good governance during election periods and allow the intercessory momentum to fade away after the polls and comes back during periods close to the general election.

It was launched in May 2017 with the main theme: 'Believing God's Best for Ghana: All hands on Deck.'

The prayer group is a ministry that attempts to link pre-election dynamism in prayer with a post-election attitude of praying for the nation and for good governance as commanded in the scriptures.
