Students have been urged to embrace technology and use it in a positive way to enhance their success both in school and after school. This is to ensure that they take advantage of all the advances in technology especially in ICT boost their chances of success in a highly competitive world. The Head of the Computer Science Department of the University of Ghana, Dr. Ferdinand Katsriku, was speaking at the 2nd Matriculation ceremony of Heritage Christian College, a Christ-Centered University College in Amasaman near Accra.

According to Dr. Katsriku, in this modern era of 21st century, the infusion of technology into teaching and learning has a remarkable influence on the instructional strategies of educational institutions. He therefore charged educational institutions to make use of new technologies as they become available. He urged government to invest in new technology by supporting Computer Science Departments across the country so that they don't just become end users but developers of technologies.

The President of the Association of Ghana Industries, AGI Mr. James Asare Adjei who is also the Chancellor of Heritage Christian College, encouraged students to make use of all the technologies and opportunities made available at the College to enhance their learning capacities and to translate whatever they have acquired into building successful careers in the future.

The Affiliates Liaison Officer of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ms. Lucy Diawuo who represented the Vice Chancellor of KNUST was happy about the values-based education Heritage Christian College was introducing and pledged the support of KNUST as the mentoring institution to help achieve the objective of the University College.

The President of Heritage Christian College, Dr. Samuel Twumasi-Ankrah, noted that the university emphasizes technology and innovation so as to make students abreast of global advancements and also make them entrepreneurs. He said the vision of the College is to become the flagship Christian University in Africa for the purpose of advancing the kingdom of Christ and national development. Heritage Christian College is a non-profit project of the Churches of Christ. In all, 48 students made up of 35 males and 13 females matriculated to read Bachelor’s in Theology, Information Technology and Business Administration.
