NPP will reap the benefits of good seeds in Polls - Aliu
Bolgatanga Dec. 4, GNA - The New Patriotic Party (NPP) would on Tuesday harvest the fruits of the good seeds it had sowed by securing a landslide victory in the polls.
Vice President Mahama, who said this to resounding applause and cheers at a rally at Bolgatanga, therefore, urged Ghanaians to transform the overwhelming appreciation they had shown to the NPP Administration for its laudable performance into votes on December 7.
"We have sowed good seeds over the past three years and we know that we will have a good harvest," he said. "You must therefore, turn out massively on Tuesday to make it happen and you must go very early."
The Vice President also urged them to be vigilant to prevent desperate politicians, who might want to play foul games from succeeding.
He said: "Tuesday would mark the beginning of another four year term for President John Agyekum Kufuor and Ghanaians would continue to see remarkable improvement in their lives.
"In the next four years, quality education would continue to grow, medical care would be excellent, Ghana would be more united than ever; indeed, the sky would be the limit for Ghana."
The Government, he said, would also continue to tackle corruption head on, he said.
During the first four years legislative reforms had been carried out, while institutions with the mandate to check the canker had been strengthened to ensure transparency, the Vice President said. The crowd, which started gathering around 1000 hours at the St John Park entertained themselves with music, dances and speeches until the Vice President's arrival from Tamale at about 1730 hours.
He commended them for their commitment and love for the Party, saying their sacrifices would be rewarded when the whole of Ghana would celebrate the electoral victory of the NPP after the polls. Some of the supporters continued their celebrations at the rally grounds amidst drumming and dancing even when the rally closed.
