Complacency and “Coat Coat” Are Costing NPP Dearly at Elections
Unwilling to wasting time, I declare without fear or favour that diabolic factionalism is still active within the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Whoever believes that the Alan Camp has overcome their pain of overwhelming loss suffered at the NPP Congressional election that saw Nana Akufo Addo, the reminisced biblical David and Joseph of our time, emerge victorious, is simply deceiving themselves. He who thinks the Alan Camp has eschewed their mischievous intentions; their resolute determination to scupper the chances of Nana Akufo Addo winning Election 2016, as at writing, is living in a fantasy world (dreamland).
We had better overcome the obvious divisions within the party if we are desirous to win election 2016. Many a Ghanaian doubts the allegiance of Paul Afoko (NPP Chairman) and Kwabena Agyei Agyapong (NPP General Secretary) to the party and to Nana Akufo Addo in particular. These two individuals coming from the Alan Camp can well be said to be saboteurs. Left to them alone, Nana lose the election to prove their malevolence right – “Did we not tell you that Nana is old, he is not marketable, and he can never win general elections in Ghana”, they will say?
Why can't these evil incarnates and their bunch of doomsayers, think good about the suffering Ghanaian masses for once? Do they not realise that they will hurt the ordinary suffering Ghanaians more than they would to Nana Addo if they cause him to lose election 2016? I think some of them stand to profit, or do better financially with the corrupt NDC government in power than having Nana ascend to the presidency, hence their purposed sabotage against him.
There is also that chronic disease of complacency that the NPP suffers from. The party, try as it does, never gets cured of her complacency illness. Most of the NPP gurus are more or less nonchalant. They always look at the public perception of “Oman no mu ayeden” (it is tough financially in Ghana) to conclude that they can win the impending election on a silver platter. Any suggestions to them to go down to the villages to do door-to-door campaign fall on deaf ears. They sit in their offices on their fat arses thinking the election is already won by them. Election is not won at the crack of the fingers. In Ghana, human perception about a situation can change at the blink of the eye, especially, when it has to do with elections where people sell their votes for Ghc20, or a tin or two of Geisha, or sardines and a kilo or two of rice.
What is complacency, one may ask? COMPLACENCY by definition is “a feeling of quiet pleasure or security, often while unaware of some potential danger, defect, or the like; self-satisfaction or smug satisfaction with an existing situation, condition, etc.”
The known and persistent NDC skulduggery over all these years should have taught the family of NPP a bitter lesson, putting them on their toes and on the right path to success, but they permanently seem not to have learnt any lesson from it. They are still stalled in that despicable muddy complacency.
NPP, please get out of your “coat coat” and complacency if you are desirous to win elections. Being overly intelligent, going by the books, wearing your big suits (Coat coat) and being too complacent, will never win you elections. Shed your coats. Get into the gutters to play gutter politics with the NDC.
If all that the NDC understands is doing dirty politics, stealing and rigging elections, why don't we face them boot by boot and bumper for bumper?
My heart bleeds when I see and hear NDC supporters teasing us saying, they have already won election 2016. It is just a matter of showing our face for the world to know that we are participating in the election or else, we wouldn't go, because we have won it already, they allege. What does this bold statement by them tell you, oh poor NPP family that is overflowing of saboteurs? How do you understand a blind person when he/she warns you about the possibility of him/her stoning you if you continued with your displeasing posture towards him/her? It means they have a stone in hand or have their foot on one.
The NDC are bent on rigging the election. They have set their rigging machine grinding slowly but it will soon gain momentum as election time draws near. How do we counter that wicked or evil plans of theirs? Is it by wearing big coats, twirling our fingers; being overly complacent and hoping Providence will take care of it? NO!!!!!!!!!!!
We are duty-bound to Ghanaians to win Election 2016 to alleviate ourselves of the economic pain that Mr Callous Clueless is inflicting on us. Do you know whom I mean?
Mr Alan Cash, please come out boldly to campaign alongside Nana Akufo Addo for NPP to win election 2016. All the NPP gurus must please have their hands on deck.
Is there a selfless philanthropist in the NPP, or anywhere in the world that is dying to see NPP come to power in 2016? If there is any, will he please contact me to enable us work out a strategy that can energise people to work harder to ensure victory becomes NPP's?
You cannot get a position in government unless your party has won election. First thing first, all ye that are more interested in positions you will get rather than how your party will win elections. A word to the wise is enough; the wise one from Kumawu has spoken. Mind you, there are numerous wise men and women in Ghana and in Kumawu in particular.
I dedicate this publication to STUNNAD Western Region, especially, Erica Appiah Mensah – Wocom. They have a vision for Ghana through Nana Akufo Addo.
