A source at the Audit Service told the Daily Graphic that the report of the audit when ready, would be presented to the Auditor General and copied to GYEEDA and the Asongtaba Cottage Industry, the implementing organisation of the module.

GYEEDA has recently been docked with allegations of corruption in which some top organisations in the country were implicated for wrong-doing.

According to a report, GYEEDA had been implicated in a lot of financial and procedural malpractices which prompted the sector minister, Mr Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, to halt all activities in relation to the programme.

He has also stopped the programme from developing other modules until the full facts of the allegations are established.

President John Mahama, upon receiving the report, served notice of a radical restructuring of GYEEDA with a promise to bring to book persons who had been cited for any wrongdoing.

Speculations were rife in the media that Zoomlion and rlg Communications, that are responsible for the implementation of the waste and sanitation and the youth in ICT modules of the GYEEDA respectively, have been implicated in the report but the companies are yet to officially respond to those allegations.
