With the vision of providing a holistic healthy lifestyle to the people, the Holy Trinity Spa and Health Farm has introduced a fish farming department to its chain of health facilities at the Sogakope Health Farm, in the Volta Region.

The new fish farming department , which is expected to expand the health facility and open up the farm, is aimed at encouraging the consumption of fresh fish among clients to the Spa and promote a healthy lifestyle, thereby, avoiding meat-related diseases.

The health facility, since its establishment in May 2005, is noted for fusing preventive, curative and rehabilitative alternatives to tackle stress, tension and other lifestyle-related problems, in addition to engaging in poultry farming and pig rearing.

The new department will also make available, fresh unpreserved Tilapia to the Spa's restaurant to feed clients who patronise the health facility.

At the official commissioning of the Fish Farming Department of the Holy Trinity Spa and Health Farm in Sogakope, the Director General of the Spa, Dr. Felix Anyaa, noted that excess consumption of meat results in the risk of developing prostate cancer, as he urged the public to consume more fresh foods.

According to Dr. Anyaa, the Spa had boosted health tourism in the country, as it continues to attract several health tourists from the United States of America (USA), Britain, Nigeria and Togo among others.

He, therefore, encouraged the youth to go into fish farming, since it required little capital to initiate.

On his part, the former Member of Parliament (MP) for South Tongu and former 1st Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Kenneth Dzirasah, urged the staff of the health facility to work hard and expand the facility, and encourage fun seekers to patronise it.
