Malam Nuhu Tamintuo, a philanthropist, is rehabilitating the Akyem Osino Mosque in the Fanteakwa District, which was destroyed by a rainstorm last year.
Malam Tamintuo, who would not disclose the cost of the rehabilitation work, told the GNA that his gesture was aimed at making it possible for the Muslim community to worship in a good environment.
He said the rehabilitation exercise included an extension work on the mosque to conveniently accommodate a larger congregation.
