A/R: Armed robbers attack fuel station; steal GHS1 million after tying up fuel attendants

There has been a robbery incident at Pakyi Number 2 in the Amansie West district of the Ashanti Region.

A filling station has been attacked and robbed by armed robbers.

The robbers stormed IBM fuel station at Pakyi Number 2 and broke into the office of the station.

According to eyewitnesses, the armed robbers tied up the five fuel attendants and a security guard at work before disconnecting all CCTV cameras.

The gang of armed robbers subsequently continued their operation and bolted with an amount of GHS1 million.

They are reported to have also taken along the CCTV footage.

Confirming the incident in an interview with journalists, the Director of IBM fuel filling station, Kwabena Tawiah called on the Ghana Police Service for an enhance police patron in the area.
