The MP for Weija-Gbawe, Tina Gifty Mensah, has mourned the loss of the former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the area, Patrick Kumor, who passed away on Monday.
In a post on Monday, May 6, via social media, the Deputy Health Minister prayed that the late former MCE be granted eternal rest and further commiserated with his family.
She wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the sudden and shocking demise of my son, Hon. Patrick Kwasi Brako Kumor. My heart goes out to his family, wife, kids, friends and the good people of Weija Gbawe. May the good Lord grant you eternal rest, Patrick Kumor.”
Mr. Kumor was among the 25 MCEs whose appointments were recently rescinded by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, with Mr. Michael Danquah replacing him in his position.
In December 2020, Mr. Kumor was honored with the UCIA 2022 Dynamic Achievers Award for Excellence in Leadership.
The accolade was presented to him by the Global Executive College (GEC) at the British Council Hall.
