Former President, John Dramani Mahama has wished Muslims in the country success as they observe the holy month of Ramadan.
Muslims in Ghana and across the world are currently observing Ramadan, the month set aside for a month-long fasting and praying.
On Friday, March 22, John Dramani Mahama visited some mosques and Muslim communities to offer his support.
In a post on Facebook after the visit, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) said he hopes his visit will help ensure that everyone partake in the Holy month of Ramadan.
He prayed that the period would bring Muslims closer to their faith and fill their hearts with peace and joy.
“As our Muslim brothers and sisters observe the holy month of Ramadan, I want to extend my support and encouragement to each of you.
“Ramadan is a time of deep reflection, prayer, and compassion. I pray that your fast will be filled with peace and spiritual growth.
“May this holy month bring you closer to your faith and fill your hearts with peace and joy. Ramadan Mubarak,” John Dramani Mahama said.
