Former Deputy Minister of Information, Felix Kwakye Ofosu has accused President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of taking the country backwards.

According to him, everything in Ghana has deteriorated under President Akufo-Addo since he assumed power in 2017.

In a post on X, Felix Kwakye Ofosu said the current state of the country bears no resemblance to what President Akufo-Addo inherited from ex-President John Dramani Mahama.

“The current state of our nation bears little to no resemblance to what the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration inherited. Everything has deteriorated from then,” Felix Kwakye Ofosu said.

In his State of the Nation Address on Tuesday, President Akufo-Addo touted the achievements of his government, insisting that his government has done more in seven years than what the former NDC government did in eight years.

He said in terms of infrastructure in various sectors, his government is far ahead when compared to past governments.

These statements have also been rejected by Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

In his view, the President was only telling lies when he made these statements.

“It is also a flat lie that this government has done more infrastructure than any other government. Not in education, not health, not energy or water or railways,” Felix Kwakye Ofosu said.
