Wife of the Hon Member of Parliament for Lambussie constituency, Bamie Mary Assumpta as part of her annual routine activities, celebrated this year’s Christmas with some women groups in the Lambussie constituency.
Beautiful Mary, as she is affectionately called, joined women groups in some communities for a memorable Christmas celebration. With her warm and infectious smile, she brought an aura of happiness and camaraderie to the festivities. Her presence was an inspiration to everyone, as she demonstrated the importance of unity and togetherness during this special time of the year.
During the occasion, she actively participated in various activities planned for the women, making sure every moment was filled with laughter and merriment. From exchanging thoughtful gifts to singing and dancing, she made sure that everyone felt included and valued. Indeed, her genuine interest in connecting with each individual created an atmosphere of belonging and strengthened the bond among the women in the various communities.
As if that was not enough, her presence served as a reminder of the value of community involvement. By celebrating Christmas with the women, she highlighted the need to support one another and create opportunities for meaningful connections.
She stated that, so far over 300 women groups consisting of 20-30 persons in each group have been supported by her husband across the constituency. She added that those who haven’t received such support yet, should exercise patience as it gets to their turn soon. On that score, she donated some food items and an undisclosed amount of cash to support the women groups to expand their trading activities, with the view to assisting them earn extra income and eradicate poverty.
