A/R: Three people die after trailer truck runs over traders at Angloga Junction in Kumasi

There has been an accident at Angloga Junction in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region involving a trailer truck.

Three of the victims of the accident have been confirmed dead.

The accident occurred on Thursday evening around 9 pm when a commercial trailer truck crashed into some traders at the Anloga Junction Kumasi in the Ashanti region capital.

Information gathered this morning from sources has confirmed that while one person died on the spot after the accident, two more people lost their lives after they were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

According to eyewitnesses, the trailer truck was loaded with bags of fertilizer when it ran into the traders and structures along the road.

Several victims who were trapped over one hour after the accident were rescued by Ghana National Fire Service personnel with various degrees of injuries.

Eyewitnesses report that the trailer truck was initially stationary and had no driver behind the wheel before moving on its own to cause the crash.

The bodies of all three deceased persons have since been deposited at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’s morgue.

Meanwhile, those injured have been receiving medical attention at the hospital as well.
