The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawase, Muntaka Mubarak last lambasted the LGBTQ+ community in the country describing their thinking on adopting children as madness.
During a Parliamentary debate on the Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee report on the anti-gay bill, the MP questioned the mentality of LGBTQ+ people on how they think it’s okay to engage in what he describes as a nasty act and later turn around to adopt other people’s children.
“The sad thing is that you see two people who decide to be lesbians or homosexuals trying to adopt children. Who should go and give birth for you to come and adopt? Look at this madness,” Muntaka Mubarak said on Wednesday, July 5.
The Asawase MP continued, “If having children is good, why are you into that nasty act?”
This week, Ghana’s Parliament has been debating the anti-gay bill presented to the house for consideration.
The Bill has been presented as the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill.
Already, there is consensus from both the Minority and Majority side in Parliament to pass the Bill.
The Majority in Parliament is confident that once the Bill is passed, President Nana Addo Dankwa will have no option than to accent to it to pass it into law.
