Samuel Koku Anyidoho, CEO of the Atta Mills Institute has reacted to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's claim of having a different vision for Ghana.

On Friday, after filing his NPP flagbearership nomination forms, the Veep noted in his address, "I have a different vision for Ghana...I want to transform the economy to the next level."

However, this has sparked a lot of debate, with many questioning whether Bawumia believes in or even supports the policies of the government in which he plays an integral role.

In a tweet on Monday, June 19, the former NDC deputy general secretary said he has seen a Vice President claiming to have a different vision before.

He noted that Dr. Bawumia's vision could be either good or bad.

"From a purely governance perspective, I ask: is it possible for a Vice President to have a vision different from his President?

“The answer is YES! The vision, however, can be good or bad. I have seen some before, so I know exactly what I am talking about. Ghana First," the post reads, probably referring to former President John Dramani Mahama as he always attack him.

Meanwhile, the ruling NPP is set to choose its flagbearer in a national congress on November 4, 2023.

According to several polls and comments from political commentators, the race is between the Veep and Mr. John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, the former Trade and Industry Minister.
