Ernest Owusu Bempah, the deputy Communications Director of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed confidence in their party's ability to win the seat and break the eight-year cycle of governance.

During an interview on TV3's 'New Day' morning show, Mr Bempah conveyed the NPP's assurance to the Ghanaian people that the Party will emerge victorious in the by-election and use it as evidence of their ability to break the eight-year electoral cycle.

The NPP Deputy Communications Director confidently said, “We’re assuring the people of Ghana that we’re going to win that seat and send a message that we’re breaking the eight. The people of Ghana believe in us and they know that any of the candidates that the NPP will elect as a flag bearer will win and win the 2024 elections.”

Mr Bempah further disclosed his active work in the Assin North constituency saying, “I'll be there [Assin North]. I was there and I came back last week and I’m going back to work with them. I was at Kumawu for one month working and I told the journalists out there that we’re going to win a landslide.”

He highlighted the credibility of the NPP candidate, Charles Opoku, and the trust the people of Assin North have placed in him.

“This time around, our candidate Charles Opoku is credible and the people of Assin North have confidence in him and we believe that he’s going to win and win convincingly,” Bempah said confidently.

He continued, “If not for a landslide, he’ll win overwhelming votes for the people of Assin North to come and lead and make sure that he’ll bring development to the people of Assin North.”
