A law enforcement female lawyer was fined Ksh 348,000 by the Kanungu Court in Kenya for breaching the promise she made to her fiancé after he paid all her tuition fees.

According to the reports, Mr. Richard Tumwine and Ms. Fortunate Kyarkunda met in 2015 when they were both teaching at a primary school.

The man helped her to fulfil her dream of becoming a lawyer by paying her fees with his monthly salary. They agreed to marry when she finishes law school, but the woman didn't keep this promise after becoming a lawyer.

She turned down his marriage proposal because with the excuse that the teacher was too old. Mr Tumwine discovered that she had betrayed him and took the matter to the Kanungu Magistrate Court.

The lawyer was fined Ksh348,000 for breaking her promise to marry the man.
