OCT 21, 2020 LISTEN

The People’s National Convention (PNC) is celebrating being placed 9th on the ballot paper for the 2020 General Election after insisting that the number signifies the rebirth of Ghana.

Ahead of the December 7 polls, the Electoral Commission (EC) had the balloting for the qualified political parties at its head office in Accra on Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

At the end of the exercise, the PNC ended up 9th on the ballot paper with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition party, the NDC picking the first and second slots.

Reacting to the outcome of the balloting, the PNC says their number signifies the needed rebirth of the country.

The opposition party is hence taking confidence into the general election and believes they can wrestle power from the NPP.

“THE NUMBER 9 SIGNIFIES THE RE-BIRTH OF GHANA.

“After 63 years of Independence, Ghana needs to be reborn to fulfill the aspirations and dreams of our forebears.

“Number 9 signifies the much needed rebirth of our dear nation as a normal pregnancy cycle is 9 months.

“PNC is pregnant with Ghana and is about to bring it forth in this year's elections.

“The Number 9 is very significant and is in tandem with the PNC's Agenda for Mother Ghana in 2020”, a post on the Facebook page of the PNC reads.
