The host of Peace FM Entertainment Review, Kwasi Aboagye, has shared details about a conversation he had with Medikal's mother regarding her son's conduct.
According to Aboagye, the woman encouraged him to openly discuss her son's past misbehaviour and disrespect toward the Despite Media Group, even suggesting that the broadcaster should reprimand the rapper if necessary.
The veteran entertainment journalist disclosed that Medikal's mother apologised to the staff of Despite Media and management for the offensive comments her son made during a dispute.
"Medikal's mother reached out to me. We talked about two main points. She gave me the go-ahead to speak on her son's matter, even if it meant criticising him. She also wanted me to publicly convey her deepest apologies to Despite Media Group for her son's actions.
"She's sorry for whatever her son said about Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, Fadda Dickson, MzGee, and others. She said that it is not her son's usual behaviour," Kwasi Aboagye said during the Entertainment Review show on Peace FM.
After Medikal's 02 Indigo concert, MzGee asked during a phone interview: "Last week on this show, Fella wished you well for your concert. She's got a movie premiere coming up. Any message for her?"
Medikal, visibly irritated, responded, "Do you understand your question? You're acting like a marriage counsellor. We're here to talk about the concert. It was great, and I wish everyone the best.
"The show was amazing, let's focus on that. Today, BBC World is talking about me. Why these questions? I'm sure you're not with your first boyfriend. Let's celebrate my international representation for Ghana instead."
Afterwards, Medikal took to his social media page to make derogatory comments about Despite Media and accused MzGee of being unprofessional.
Before the concert, Medikal announced on Twitter that he and Fella Makafui had separated.
"Fella is no longer my wife, just the mother of my child. We're co-parenting, and all is well," he tweeted on March 30, 2024.
They unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Fella Makafui removed 'Mrs. Frimpong' from her username.
The 4-year-old marriage is yet to be annulled legally.
