Ghanaian rapper Medikal, known privately as Samuel Adu Frimpong, has cleared the air about his past relationship with singer Sister Derby, also known privately as Deborah Owusu Bonsu.
The "Too Risky" hitmaker said they are cool with each other, indicating that they only parted ways because their relationship didn't work out as planned.
Many Ghanaians were shocked to see the two singers together on the song "Cold and Trophies," looking at the issues surrounding their breakup.
But in an interview on Accra-based Kingdom FM, Medikal noted that breakup doesn't mean they should be enemies.
The one-time VGMA rapper of the year revealed that Sister Derby was shocked to have received a call from him for a musical collaboration.
"I’m not at loggerheads with her. We dated and things did not work out, but that does not mean we have problems.
"When I called her for the first time in a long while, she was shocked that I called. She then asked for the song, listened to it, and sent her verse over to me," he revealed.
