Donkor Tennis And Educational Foundation Holds Tennis Clinic At Ayi Mensah

Former National tennis star, Isaac Donkor held his annual 3- day Tennis clinic at his tennis courts at Ayi-Mensah in Accra.

A total number of 150 participated in the one day program, the aim of the program was to discover new talents.

The participants were taken through Agility drills, balance drills, reaction drills, Racquet and ball, Serve rally and score.

President of Donkor Tennis and Educational Foundation Isaac Donkor, was present through the 3-day program and contributed immensely to the development of the children and also helped his fellow coaches such as Yayha Macaulay and Jojo Abban with his experience.

An interview with ghanatennis.org President of the foundation Isaac Donkor said: "I am very confident these kids will emerge as National assets to the country". He added that “You can see the impact the training is having on the children because the number isn't huge".

“The plan was to provide a continuous developmental structure through our talent identification process and lead them into various venues with established junior programmes”. Mr Donkor stressed on.

He added that “the Foundation is looking cooperate bodies for sponsorship and wiling name the whole facility to any potential donor, we still have a few more things to build up such as electricity for the locker rooms, classrooms, cafeteria and a fitness centre.
