Modernghana Sports can confirm that Ghanaian international Godfred Donsah has completed his season-long loan move to Belgian side Cercle Brugge for the ongoing 2019/2020 season.
The hardworking midfielder has become surplus to requirement in the last couple of month at his parent club, Bologna, forcing him to seek a move elsewhere that will see him enjoy regular playing time.
Donsah, 23, has joined the Belgium Jupiler Pro League side on loan but could be signed permanently if he manages to impress.
A statement on Bologna’s official website noted, “Bologna Fc 1909 announces that an agreement has been reached with Cercle Brugge Koninklijke Sportvereniging for the loan of midfielder Godfred Donsah until 30 June 2020 with an option to make the deal permanent”.
His new club has secured his services in hopes of strengthening their midfield as they bid to enjoy a fruitful campaign throughout the ongoing season.
Cercle Brugge is currently bottom of the League standings after 4 matches and needs to start winning to enhance their chances of maintaining their top-flight status at the end of the season.
