The spokesperson for the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalization Committee (NC) Dan Kwaku Yeboah has urged the country to improve upon the positives that we can outline from the year 2018 in a review as far as football is concerned.

In a year that an Anas Aremeyaw Anas broke arguably the biggest story in the country, football took a huge hit which led to the suspension of football activities and even an attempt to dissolve the GFA as we know it.

Through that storm to the inception of the NC, a lot has happened and for the past 5 months, things have not been easy. Back and forth arguments and the lot which probably should be left to sleep.

Recapturing what has happened in the course of the year, Dan Kwaku Yeboah cited that despite all the challenges and aftermath of the Anas Aremeyaw hurricane, there are positives that we can be content with.

“The year 2018 has been hectic for our football, in general, taking into considerations the Anas expose and its aftermath. Nobody will argue that it has had a bearing on our football

“First of all, there are some positives. The senior national team the Black Stars have qualified for the 2019 AFCON. The national u20 team the Black Satellites have also qualified for the Africa Youth Championship. The maidens got us to the quarterfinals of the women’s world cup.

“I think those were the bright spots as far as the 2018 football year is concerned. The fact that at least we could draw some few positives, we will have to improve upon the year and correct the wrongs” the spokesperson for the NC indicated in an interview on Class FM.

The NC has today announced that domestic football activities will resume in January 2019 with Premier League Clubs and Division one clubs expected to compete in a special competition.
