English born Ghana international, Joe Dodoo have completed his move to English Championship side, Blackpool on a long-term loan.

The pacy forward joined Rangers FC two seasons ago from the English side, Leicester City.

However, the 22-year-old failed to nail down regular playing spot and was shipped on loan to English League Two outfit Charlton Athletics.

He struggled to impress at the Valley as he made only five appearances, scoring one goal before his loan was cancelled midway through the campaign.

Dodoo returned to Rangers FC but was clearly not in the plans of new Manager Steven Gerrard ahead of the coming season.

After completing his move, he said, “I’m delighted to be here. I spoke to the manager and he told me what he’s trying to achieve this season and I like the sound of it. It’s a good club and I can’t wait to get started and playing.”

Manager, Gary Bowyer also expressed his satisfaction on signing the goal poacher on long-term loan.

“Joe is a fantastic signing for us and I would like to thank Rangers for allowing him to join for the season.

"He can play in a variety of positions across the front line and adds pace, power and goals to the side. We’re really excited to work with him.”

Dodoo has represented England at under-18 level and spent part of last season on loan at Charlton Athletic, where he hit two goals in eight appearances.
