Assin Odumase (C/R) August 11, GNA - Mr. Kojo Quaye, Organiser of Young Rural Sporting Talents (YRST) said the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and other football clubs should target rural areas in their search for new talents.

He said the rural areas abound with many skilful and talented footballers who should be discovered, promoted and encouraged to excel. Mr. Quaye was speaking to the GNA Sports at Assin Odumase near Assin Akropong over the weekend.

He said such "raw" talents, when groomed could perform better and play with any football club across the country.

Mr. Quaye said series of friendly matches are being organised in the Assin North District of the Central Region to select and build a formidable team to participate in the Third Division football league. In one of the friendly matches, Assin Odumase Wonder Boys beat Assin Kyeano Three Stars 3-1.
