Nea Salamina FC striker Kojo Obeng Junior is very close to joining Latvian giants FK Spartaks Jurmala after impressing on trial.
Obeng left Ghana to join the two-time Latvian top-flight champions training camp in Turkey about two weeks ago and has impressed the technical staff with his performances.
The former Aduana Stars youngster was linked with moves to Asante Kotoko SC and Hearts of Oak at the end of last season but no deal was struck.
He is expected to put pen to paper on a three year deal on Thursday evening.
He bagged 14 goals in 21 appearances in all competitions for the second tier side last season aiding them to finish second in the Division One League Zone 1 and a quarter-final berth in the MTN FA Cup.
