Ghanaian side Medeama must produce a magical display against Young Africans today to get their CAF Confederation Cup campaign back on track.

The Yellow and Mauves play as guest of the reigning Tanzanian champions at the 60,000 seated National Stadium in Dar es Salam. Kick-off is at 4pm (1pm Ghana time).

The two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders have found it tough in group A - having tasted a defeat and drawn once in their opening two games.

They capitulated against star-studded TP Mazembe, losing 3-1 at the Congolese side and drew blank against Mouloudia Olympique de Béjaïa from Algeria at home.

The two games has left the West Africans third on the table with just a single point from two games. They are five points behind group leaders Mazembe and three behind second-placed MO Bejaia.

Medeama, who are coached by famous talent spotter Prince Owusu, will look to their influential duo Kwesi Donsu and Eric Kwakwa to lead them to victory over Yanga.

The task appear quite humongous as Yanga find themselves in a desperate position as well.

The Mainland champions are firmly rooted at the bottom of the table and must win at all cost to restore hope.

The Proudly Colourful are coming off a morale boosting 2-1 win over Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League encounter last weekend.

Striker Abass Mohammed will look to continue his scoring form for Medeama in the Confederation Cup. Mohammed has netted three goals thus far.

Medeama's technical director Evans Adotey has explained that they cannot afford to lose to Young Africans today (Saturday).

'We need the maximum points from Young Africans in this match. This is because the expectations from our fans are so high, and we cannot afford to disappoint them,' Adotey told Ghanaian media.

'We have prepared very well to enable us to subdue our opponents but we need the spiritual and physical support of our fans to enable us to overpower our opponents,' he appealed.

Egyptian referee Ibrahim Nour El Din will be in charge of the crucial encounter.
