Johannesburg - Bafana Bafana will have more than just Ghana to worry about when the countries clash in a World Cup qualifier in Kumasi on Sunday.

Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has been warned that his side will have to play on a poor pitch.

The warning comes from Santos coach - Boebie Solomons who spoke to Baxter prior to the Bafana training session at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday.

He warned the national coach of what he will face in the dusty city of Kumasi.

Solomons' team played Ghana club King Faiqsal Babes at the same venue in a Confederations Cup match last month, and was contacted by Baxter for a report on conditions.

"The pitch is bad. I warned Baxter that the one side is badly neglected and bumpy. It is not suitable for the Bafana's short passing game. Possession football is the name of the game but not in the defensive third of the pitch," said Solomons.

Baxter said: "Thanks to Boebie - we have a fair idea of what to expect." He said he would look for poor pitches in Joburg to train on before the squad leaves for Kuamasi on Saturday.
