Cape Coast, April 30 GNA - Newly promoted premier club, Fetteh Feyenoord whipped Cape Coast Venomous Vipers 3-0 in a friendly football match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Wednesday. Vipers who attacked first, matched their opponents squarely but poor finishing upfront denied them any goals.
In the 30th minute, Feyenoord took absolute command of the game and following persistent raids in Vipers goal area, a hard -pressed defender handle d the ball in the process.
Class one referee, Joshua Mensah rightly whistled for a penalty and Feyenoord's midfielder, Stephen Danladi made no mistake to register the first goal for his side in the 35th minute.
Feyenoord continued to pile pressure on Vipers and in the 40th minute left half- back, Edward Sosu increased the tally to 2-0 with a beautiful header from a corner kick taken by Danladi. The second half saw Vipers on the warpath, but although they dominated
Feyenoord for the greater part of the second half, their goal shy forwards squandered all the chances that came their way. The tide changed in favour of Feyenoord in the dying minutes and following a combination initiated at mid-field, outside left, Isaac Bortey, collected a pass and raced to score the third goal for his side in the 88th minute.
