The Ghana Football Association is on the threshold of stitching up an international friendly date with Venezuela's national youth team for the Black Satellites ahead of the Fifa World Youth Championship in Egypt.

The South American country claim they have almost concretized the deal to play Ghana's youth team at a yet to be named venue and date.

Venezuela believes the Satellites warm up match will hand them the needed test before engaging Nigeria, Tahiti and Spain in Group B at the championship.

The United Arab Emirates pulled out of a similar exercise which was fixed for Doha this month.

Ghanasoccernet sources say the United States of America have also tabled an offer to play the Black Satellite before the tournament gets underway.

Meanwhile head coach Sellas Tetteh is expected to name predominately locally-based 24-man squad on 24 April.

Ghana will play Uzbekistan, England and Uruguay in Group D at the finals which begins on 24 September.
