SELLAS IS IN A TIGHT CORNER Head coach of Ghana Under-20 team, Sellas Tetteh, has invited Hearts of Oak's Kofi Abanga and South Africa based defender Jonathan Mensah to fortify his squad ahead of their Africa Youth Championship return leg against Gambia.

The Satellites earned a slim 2-1 win over the Young Scorpions last week and face a daunting task away in Banjul to book a qualification ticket to Rwanda 2009.

The 19-year-old Abanga won six Most Valuable Player award s last season but failed an attempt to seal a deal with Saudi-based side Al-Ittifaq.

Mensah who joined South African Premier Soccer League side Free State Stars this term has been impressive.

Midfielder, Enoch Adu Kofi, who penned a three-year deal with French Ligue 1 side Nice, is likely to return to the side.

Meanwhile Captain Andre Dede Ayew has been promised his release by his side FC Lorient for the return fixture.

Ghana have failed to qualify for three previous editions of the tournament and are now of the brink of crashing out again.
