Black Stars defender, Tariq Lamptey was in action for Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon when the team knocked Liverpool out of the English FA Cup.
The versatile full-back started for the home team and proved to be an important player once again.
In the 39th minute, the youngster fired a shot from outside the Liverpool area that touched Lewis Dunk on its way into the back of the net of the visitors.
While Tariq Lamptey would celebrate the goal, he was credited with an assist as the goal went to Lewis Dunk.
Going on to play 89 minutes in today’s English FA Cup Fourth Round match, the Black Stars defender earned a rating of 7.1
In the clash between Brighton & Hove Albion and Liverpool today, Jurgen Klopp’s men took the lead in the 30th minute through a strike from Harvey Elliot.
Later in the third minute of injury time after 90 minutes, an equaliser from Kauro Mitoma handed Brighton the win as the side shocked Liverpool with a 2-1 win.
