Retired Asante Kotoko great, Sarfo Gyamfi has shared that he believes Hearts of Oak’s defender Mohammed Alhassan should be given a chance to play for the Black Stars.
Speaking to CTV in an interview, the legend of the Porcupine Warriors described the centre-back as a very hard defender who deserves to be in the Ghana national team.
According to him, experienced defender Jonathan Mensah has paid his dues in the Black Stars and should make way for Mohammed Alhassan.
“Jonathan Mensah has done his bit for the Black Stars, I thought it was time to call Mohammed Alhassan of Hearts of Oak.
“He is a very hard defender and deserves to be in the national team,” Sarfo Gyamfi shared.
Mohammed Alhassan in the last couple of seasons has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Ghana Premier League.
He is part of the local Black Stars team assembled by Coach Annor Walker for the CHAN qualifiers against Benin.
