Ghanaian teenage sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan climbed off the AS Roma bench on Sunday night to score a brace to inspire the side to record a delightful 2-0 win against Genoa in the Italian Serie A.

The prodigy who was recently promoted to the senior team of his club was named in the matchday squad for tonight’s opponent but missed out on a starting role.

On the back of a goalless first-half and with just 15 minutes to play in the second half, Jose Mourinho introduced Felix Afena-Gyan to replace Eldor Shomurodov.

Immediately after his introduction, the Ghanaian attacker injected new energy into the attack of the AS Roma team and equalized just 6 minutes later to give his team the lead.

Later in added time, Felix Afena-Gyan grabbed his second of the night with a ferocious effort from outside the Genoa box to double the lead for AS Roma and to complete a sensational brace.

For his outstanding performance today, the forward finished the game with an enviable rating of 9.0 according to SofaScore data.
